The recombinant VEGF-C (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C) is a 125aa protein that lacks the N-terminal signal peptide (from T103 to R227 of Gene Bank U58111). ||Source:|Recombinant protein corresponding to human VEGF-C, expressed in E. coli. ||Molecular Weight: |~15-16kD||Biological Activity:|Tested by the stimulation of VEGF-R3 phosphorylation in cells transfected with VEGF-R3. The expected ED50 is >200ng/ml.||Endotoxin:|<0.1ng/ug||Specificity:|Human VEGF-C exhibits about 85% homology with mouse VEGF-C.||Storage and Stability:|Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 0.1% acetic acid. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
