Vascular endothelial growth factor B (VEGFB) is a homodimeric, heparin-binding glycoprotein member of the VEGF family of growth factors. Compared to VEGFA, VEGFB’s main role is the maintenance of newly formed blood vessels and is involved in endothelial cell physiology.
