BLK, also known as B lymphoid kinase, is a 55kD tyrosine kinases with a SH3, SH2 and catalytic domains that contain consensus sequences of the src protein tyrosine kinase family. BLK is expressed specifically in the B cell lineage and plays a role in signal transduction pathway that is restricted to B lymphoid cells. Stimulation of resting B-lymphocytes with antibodies to surface immunoglobulin (sIgD or sIgM) induces activation of BLK.||Source:|Recombinant protein corresponding to human BLK, fused at GST-Tag at N-terminal expressed in Insect cells.||Molecular Weight:|~84kD||Specific Activity:|112nmol/min/mg as per activity assay protocol.||Endotoxin:|<1EU/ug (LAL)||Storage and Stability:|Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
