Fumonisin B2 is a minor analogue of a family of a potent mycotoxins produced by various Fusarium species associated with animal toxicity, worldwide. To date much of the research on the pharmacology of the fumonisins has focused on fumonisin B1. It is generally accepted that fumonisin B2 acts on ceramide biosynthesis, however, the pharmacology of the minor analogues is less well explored.||Source:|Fumonisin B2 from Fusarium moniliforme.||Molecular Weight:|~705.8||Solubility:|Soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, DMF or DMSO.||Storage and Stability:|Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
