Serine proteinase neutrophil elastases are stored in azurophilic granules located inside the neutrophils and aid the neutrophil in thwarting foreign entities.||Activity:|~20-22 units per mg protein. ||Unit Definition:|One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that hydrolyzes one umole of MeO-Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Val-pNA per minute at 25°C, pH 8.0.||Storage and Stability:|For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C.
